PJ Chalmers

Peter-Jon Chalmers, (known as PJ) is the Operations Director at Empire HR and currently oversees the servicing function within the organisation.  PJ has over 12 years experience of the HR consultancy industry, having worked in both operational and management roles.  PJ is responsible for the delivery of both our HR and HS services. 

A Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel & Development, PJ specialises in providing practical employment law solutions to clients throughout Scotland.  PJ has advised and led many collective redundancy exercises in his various roles and has also represented employers at employment tribunal.  In his previous role at Croner Consulting Scotland, PJ was the recognised expert on employee relations/employment law issues, providing advice and support to their advisory team.

PJ has recently completed a large scale redundancy exercise for the closure of a local paper mill. This has involved collective consultation with 400 employees both union and non union.

PJ became a dad for the first time this year so his free time is spent with his new daughter or if he’s really lucky getting some sleep!
