Empire’s values centre around honesty, accountability, excellence, health & safety and community. Our commitment to these values is not only demonstrated in our delivery to clients, but also in how Empire operates with regards to our employees, our community and the environment.
Empire prides itself on being committed to staff wellbeing. The calibre of our team and our high retention level is testament to the successful implementation of, and our commitment to, flexible working practice wherever possible. We boast a team of the highest calibre Employment Lawyers and HR Professionals, fully committed to our clients because they work in a positive, safe and engaging culture committed to their professional development and wellbeing. Empire has adopted technology to allow remote working ensuring we can retain and support our talented staff in different areas of the country. Empire is proud to be a living wage employer, supporting our staff at all levels of the organisation.
We pride ourselves in our commitment to building relationships within the communities we are based within and we take responsibility for the work we do. Empire has engaged with, and supported, a range of charities over the years to include Archie Foundation, Clan, North East Sensory Services, Cash for Kids and Sense Scotland. We have recently embarked on a staff led programme of fundraising where each quarter we facilitate fundraising activities for a charity nominated by a member of our team. Members of the team suggest different fundraising ideas which Empire supports.
Empire is fully committed to minimising our impact on the environment and we understand even seemingly small improvements combine to a produce much larger overall impact. Examples of our practice include no bins in the main offices, with paper and receptacle recycling points in our shared areas instead. We work to minimise printing and paper use and also encourage energy saving policies throughout the offices. We have adopted a cycle to work scheme and wherever possible, business trips to different areas of the UK are taken via public transport instead of driving.
